Following on from this example of cleverness overcoming common sense found by Dick Puddlecote…

… comes this equally daft attempt at road safety reported in The Teletubbygraph:

Drivers negotiating a tricky bend have complained they are being dangerously distracted by a road safety poster urging them to keep their eyes on the road.
The warning, positioned on a 90 degree corner, has been introduced as part of a campaign to improve rural road safety.

The desire to improve road safety by distracting drivers at critical moments seems to be infectious.
